The Cluedo detective booklet is an additional $5 to your general admission ticket. General admission prices are below:

Admission to the Old Melbourne Gaol includes self-guided access to the Gaol and the City Watch House (timed entry on the hour), as well as access to download the audio guide app.

Please note the Cluedo experience is designed for players 12 and above.

Bookings essential To ensure a safe visitor experience, we’ve introduced timed entry to maintain a maximum capacity of 20 visitors per session. Tickets must be pre-booked online in advance.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: The Old Melbourne Gaol will be temporarily closed from 5pm, Wednesday 8 July

In accordance with the revised Victorian state government guidelines the Old Melbourne Gaol Cluedo Experience will be unavailable until restrictions have lifted.

For those with pre-purchased tickets from July 9 onwards, we will hold your tickets over to be transferred to a new date of your choice once restrictions have lifted. Ticket holders will receive a notification shortly with further instructions.

If you have purchased a ticket and wish to receive a refund (including fees) directly to your account instead, please email your request with your ticket number handy to bookings@nattrust.com.au.

Step back in time to solve a mysterious murder, in this world-first event that brings the iconic board game Cluedo to life. The Old Melbourne Gaol Cluedo Experience is an immersive adventure puzzle game for all ages. Dodgy lawyer Lionel Grey was found dead at the Gaol in 1924, but authorities never cracked the case. Now it’s up to you!

Search the Gaol’s darkest corners for clues, studying alibis of colourful crims, examining physical evidence, and scanning weapons for DNA. Using your smarts and the help of modern technology, can you discover WHO killed Grey, WHERE he was killed, and with WHAT weapon? The murder may be fictional, but the fun is very real!

The Old Melbourne Gaol Cluedo Experience runs for a strictly limited time, commencing 27 June 2020.

 

Do I need to pre-book tickets online? 

Yes – due to COVID-19, capacity restrictions currently apply at the Old Melbourne Gaol.

To purchase tickets online for the Cluedo Experience you must select general admission and then select the Cluedo Experience, which is an additional $5.

Can tickets be purchased on arrival?

Tickets may be available to purchase upon arrival, however, there will be limited availability due to capacity guidelines. To avoid disappointment, book your preferred session time online.

What are the session times?

As capacity restrictions apply, we have timed session admission with a maximum of 20 people at each time.

Session One: 10 am entry with an 11:30am Watch House Experience (120 mins)

Session Two: 11:30am entry with a 1pm Watch House Experience (120 mins)

Session Three: 1pm  entry with a 2:30pm Watch House Experience (120 mins)

Session Four: 2:30 pm entry with a 3.30pm Watch House Experience (90 mins)

Session Five: 3:30 pm entry with a 4.30pm Watch House Experience (90 mins)

Note: The 2:30pm and 3:30pm sessions are 90-minute experiences. If you are a first time visitor, a family, or playing Cluedo you may want to consider booking an earlier 120-minute experience.

September onwards – tickets are on sale and valid for entry anytime from 10am.

Is it like an escape room?

No, the Cluedo Experience is an activity booklet allowing players to compete against family and friends, or to work as a team, to uncover which of the six suspects killed Lionel Grey. 

What age is it recommended for?

The Cluedo Experience is designed for players aged 12 and above.

How long will it take?

Detectives will have 90 minutes to solve the mystery.
